Favorite Players – 2020 Season
3 min read
The upcoming Fantasy Football 2020 season has me looking at the players that are my favorites at their position this year. If you missed the Draft Strategy – 2020 Season last week, give it a look especially if you haven’t completed all your fantasy football drafts for the upcoming season. My favorite players usually are on teams that have a Top Offense that can produce lots of Targets and Touchdowns! Let’s review who they are below!
Quarterbacks
- Dak Prescott
- Kyler Murray
- Daniel Jones
- Deshaun Watson
- Jared Goff
It is no surprise that my favorite Quarterbacks this year are mostly mobile and have that rushing upside that can really add up quick for fantasy football points. A couple (Murray and Jones) are looking prime to make that 2nd year jump!
Running Backs
- Kenyan Drake
- Chris Carson
- Raheem Mostert
- Damien Harris
- Boston Scott
A lot of these favorite Running Backs are pass catching backs. That added piece is similar to a running Quarterback and brings another option/opportunity for Targets and Touchdowns.
Wide Receivers
- Robert Woods
- Michael Gallup
- Christian Kirk
- Will Fuller V
- Marvin Jones Jr.
These Wide Receivers were getting plenty of Targets in 2019. I imagine more of the same in 2020 with more luck in the Touchdown department for most of these guys.
Tight Ends
- Evan Engram
- Dallas Goedert
- Jonnu Smith
- Noah Fant
- Blake Jarwin
Besides the one just staying healthy finally (Engram) these are Tight Ends that have shown success in smaller usage before that I believe will be getting bigger roles now in 2020.
Defense and Special Teams
- Indianapolis Colts
- San Francisco 49ers
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Buffalo Bills
- Baltimore Ravens
Some of the standard favorites for Defense and Special Teams here with the addition of the Colts who I believe have plenty of talent and a schedule that sets up nicely for a favorable fantasy football year. Keep an eye on the first 3-4 weeks of the season as a team or two will emerge that nobody saw coming that will probably be very productive for you as well.
Kickers
- Harrison Butker
- Will Lutz
- Justin Tucker
- Josh Lambo
- Robbie Gould
Kickers on highly offensive teams usually have the luck of getting fantasy football points each year. Lambo is the guy that I think still will get plenty of field goal looks even if his Jaguars aren’t scoring too many Touchdowns.
Favorite Players Final Thoughts
It can be tough to predict which player will be getting the Targets and Touchdowns each game to produce fantasy points. So by getting a player that is on an offensive team in the 2020 Fantasy Football season can set yourself up for success. If you aren’t sure of who to pick at points in your draft, feel free to try a few of my favorites here and hopefully they will contribute to your season’s success. Finding the players that will have: Ability – Availability – Opportunity – Consistency – Advantage/Upside – Matchup on a weekly basis will be beneficial to you as well as an owner. If your players are on an offensive team that can get many Targets and Touchdowns this season, you know I would be interested in them!
